Only one thing could make me totally disregard last week's sorry excuse for a "Blacklist" episode...THIS WEEK'S EPISODE!! Whew! This was the best episode of season 3. ( In my humble opinion.)

Excellent writing and a very balanced episode. A little mystery, a lot of deception, a tad of suspense, some progression in the main story line, a handful of sweetness and most importantly, we got to visit Aram's apartment and see Tom back in action.

WORTHY OF MENTIONING MOMENTS: * Such sweetness between Liz and Aram! Did you notice the picture of Aram and Navabi on the refrigerator? They were in plain clothes and this may suggest they are seeing each other outside of work. Overall, a very touching scene. *The writers have consistently delivered brilliant monologues in the course of the show but I have to put tonight's sequence with Tom in the top three. Amazing! If fans were struggling to define Tom's place in season 3, consider your struggle over! It's fascinating to see Tom execute his craft. Wonderful acting by Ryan Eggold. * "You're a terrible actor!" - Lizzie Oh, the irony. Once again, James "Spadered" the hell out of that scene by actually playing the part of a bad actor. Great stuff. Must have been a HUGE stretch for Spader but that's why it was so damn good!* Totally blindsided by the "gay" aspect of tonight's episode. Loved Red's speech in reaction to the reveal. *Let's talk Mr. Vargas! I knew he was a slime ball! I literally started to organize a posse to hunt down Mr. "Sellout" Vargas but I had to remind myself that it's a TV show...not real life. A brilliant fake-out only to be followed by another brilliant fake-out. Dirt bag, Pee Wee. * I felt the "Blacklister" story line was ripped from the movie "Hostel". "Hostel" is a graphic and violent movie. Watch at your own risk. It will demonstrate the similarities with episode 4. In the movie, people pay huge amounts of money to act out a fantasy. Some were for revenge and others for the sheer pleasure of carrying out a gruesome act.*She made Red weep. Damn it, Lizzie! Did you have to turn that knife deeper into Red's heart? Did you have to remind him of what he took from you? The sadness was palpable. * Lizzie reminds Red of his human side. Red is a man who lost his true identity while pursuing his agenda. Lizzie is bringing him back home.LOOSE ENDS:* A pleasure to see Leonard Caul again but disappointed we have yet to see Mr. Kaplin. * Karakurt had extensive facial surgery. Does this mean Red could have changed his appearance too?Next week's episode looks exciting.
